Dear Liz,
So very sad to hear about Chris. I very much enjoyed working with Chris, always positive and nothing was a problem. Great conversation and laugh guaranteed.
I have memories of staying with you both during my work visits and the occasional fishing trip.
My thoughts go out to you and all the family at this sad time.
Please accept our sincerest condolences

Saddened to hear of the passing of Chris.
I have some very fond memories of time spent with him at Pukerua Bay.
This photo I must have taken some time in 1970, Chris was busy overhauling the engine on his Chev, accompanied by friend Dave Waddilove.
I also recall visiting Chris when he was living in Linden and, viewing his full size plans of planned sidecar, a very clever guy.
I lost contact with Chris around 1975 when I gave up sidecar racing.
My thoughts go out to all family and friends.
Please accept my sincerest condolences,
Mike Williams.

Dear Liz,
So sad to hear about Chris.
A very good friend from the RNZAF.
I have been sharing stories and pictures with Marilyn, I will miss seeing him again.
Disappointed I cannot be there on Tuesday.
Love,

I Joined the RNZAF with Chris on the 17th March 1970. Lost contact with him after finishing our recruit course as we all went our separate ways. Always remembered the great times we had had at RNZAF Wigram when Chris bought an old barely serviceable Chevy car with his last dollar and we used it as the course transport. The shenanigans that we got up to around Christchurch are best left unsaid! Chris was a great guy full of fun and will always be fondly remembered. RIP Chris

Dear Liz, and Gerry. What to say? Chris was a lovely natured, effervescent character with a very distinctive manner which endeared him to us RNZAF mates, and I am sure many others along the way. Such is life that we never saw much of each other after those intensive years. However, I still feel the loss, knowing how much greater it is for you both. Our love, and deepest condolences - Mark+Anita Lasenby
