Christopher LINDSAY Obituary

Chris became my brother in law in 1980 and he was an imposing figure in those days not least to be good enough for his sister but also because he was an accomplished martial artist. We had fun times holidaying at Ohope with his kids, Andrew and Sarah. Chris was always busy but always had time for everyone. Not one to sit back and relax, very competitive, especially with Andrew. I last saw Chris in about 2009, visiting Bob in Mountainview. Couldn't quite believe I'd be there but "family ties" of any kind are never completely broken. God speed Chris, you have much to be proud of. Cheers, Mark

So sorry to hear of your loss of Chris.
I started at Parker Chemicals straight out of school and have such fond memories of my time there with the dear old Doug and Chris being the best boss. He was fun and laid back with lots of laughs along with some stresses with finding lost paperwork!
He would give me pep talks about life and boys!! I have never forgotten his advise, he must have had a big influence on me as a 17 year old!!
You both came to my 21st and over the years I have caught up with Pin and always said to him I would love to catch up with Chris again. Sadly I missed that opportunity. He was a great man. Take care Lynda. Love Karen

Sorry for your loss.
It was sad to find out yesterday that our old mate Chris had lost his battle in life. I still remember the first time I met Chris, he was a great guy, a gentleman to work for and know. Even though I had lost contact with Chris for many years the fond memories of our time working and socialising together were still in my mind.
Take care and hope the funeral goes well.
