Christopher HOLMES Obituary

HOLMES, Christopher Maurice (Chris). (Service No. P19701, RNZN). Passed away peacefully (surrounded by family) at home in Whangapoua, on Monday 28th September, 2015; aged 62 years. Loving partner of Lynne, adventurous Dad of Zane and Glory, Renee and Josef, and proud Grandpa to Rafael. Special friend of Justin and Kirstin, Sarah and Umut, and Emma. Best mate and mentor of Summer, Hunter, Nikau, Monty, and Freya. Thank you for all the wonderful adventures we had, forever in our hearts. A service for Chris will be held at Castle Rock Cafe, 1242 Whangapoua Road, Te Rerenga, on Saturday 3rd October, at 11am, followed by private cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to the Cancer Society of New Zealand would be appreciated and may be left at the service or posted to PO Box 134, Hamilton.

Fond memories of going out fishing with you & Lynne, along with cooking beautiful fresh fish together, this will live on in my heart. One of the world's 'good guys' gone too soon. Will sure miss your infectious smile and hugs. Cherie x

HOLMES, Christopher Maurice Dadda we loved sharing the world with you, exploring NZ like no other family did. You were a good friend to many, enemy of crayfish, master of the sea. You kept us well fed, shared your knowledge of the land, your passion for the sea and taught us to be strong and positive.
