Chris, along with Dina, was a long-term member of Civic Trust Auckland. The current Board of CTA give our condolences to Chris´s family and others who knew him well.

Chris was co-opted onto the Board in July 2020 and resigned due to ill health at the end of 2023. He was a thoughtful, responsive and supportive member of the Board, and we benefitted from his presence at our meetings, as well as his out-of-meeting correspondence. He also took part in many of CTA´s events over the years, including attending one of our Auckland Heritage Festival tours of the St James Theatre, on 28 September 2024.

Chris is third from the left in the group photo, when he took part in CTA´s 50th anniversary planting day in Harbutt Reserve, Mt Albert, on 18 August, 2018.

The other photo is Chris in John Kinder House in 2020, at the beginning of his term on the Board.
