Christopher BAYLISS Obituary

Thank you so much Chris for your advice through out the years and helping me through the odd legal matter and court cases I was involved in I still remember those nights when I first moved to Auckland and stayed with you I would paint my landscapes out in the lounge late at night we would discuss work and ideas drink whiskey on the rocks to help your asthma and my paintings and the onehunga club we used to drink at in the old days.Sadly missed uncle Chris thanks for all your help throughout the years to me and my family .I will never forget you cried when I said goodbye September last year and you said things weren't looking good for you either but you were always so strong and hang on you can rest now no more pain asI was toescaping my troubles to start a new life in another country I had your support that made me happy as New Zealand was lost for me now I will never forget you and thanks for your text message hours before you passed I'm sorry I wasn't able to return it swiftly but you were right he arrived 1 day after you left R I P and God Bless You uncle Chris. Cousin you will always be in my heart forever the funny stories u sent me ,the laughs we shared i will never forget rest well my dear cousin chris

I will always remember Chris fondly for taking an interest in our family and in offering such good advice. I used to see him and his mother Shirley a bit when I was studying at Auckland University and spoke to him as often as I could in the last few years. He was unstintingly positive and cheerful in the face of his illness and had a wry humour and tenacious intelligence that always made the day that much richer. He will be missed. Rest well, cousin.

You were so optimistic about life right til the end, now the pain is gone and peace has come as you are safely with your family once more. You will never be forgotten, rest in peace my friend.
