Christine MALAGHAN Obituary

MALAGHAN, Christine Joy. Peacefully on 14th December at Auckland Hospital. Devoted wife of Neil, daughter of the late Betty and George, sister to Neville, mum to Tania and very special Granny to Brittany and Samantha. Well Chris, after a courageous battle you're now free to knit to your heart's content while enjoying a gin and tonic or two with your loving mum and dad. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Malaghan Institute at donate.malaghan.org.nz would be greatly appreciated. A celebration of Christine's life will be held at the All Souls Chapel, Purewa Crematorium, 100 St Johns Road, Meadowbank on Wednesday, December 20th 2023 at 1pm, followed by a private cremation.

For years you have been so much more than my cousin; generous, kind, encouraging, hospitable and supportive as were your parents, George and Betty, my mother´s wartime bridesmaid in 1940.
Your last chapter was hard but now you are at peace. May you be surrounded by flowers and enveloped in their sweet scent.
