Christine MACGILL Obituary

MACGILL, Christine Elizabeth (Chris). Born 1 May 1935. Passed away peacefully on 14 May 2025, surrounded by her loving family. A cherished wife to Peter (deceased) and loving mum to Laura, Richard (deceased), Mike, David, Michael (deceased), Andrew, Ros, Liese and Simon, and Nan to 22 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Beloved mother-in-law and friend to many. Forever dancing in heaven. We would like to thank the staff of Murray Halberg Retirement Village for their loving care of Chris. A service to celebrate her life will be held at the Green Cathedral, Lake Hakanoa, located off Lake View Terrace, Huntly on Monday 19th May at 2pm followed by refreshments at the Huntly RSA.

I have only just heard of Chris´s passing and I feel so sad, Chris was our neighbour and friend for quite a few years, Chris and Peter loved living at Croft Terrace, when Peter passed Chris took on looking after her lovely home, she would welcome people around for a swim, she adored her grand children and loved it when they came to stay, she was young at heart, even at her 80th she had a skip to her step and loved music. So sorry I wasn´t there to say my goodbye to you Chris. R.I.P lovely lady (a true English lady) xxxxxxxxx
