My heart is heavy to hear you have left this earth. I want to thank you for taking me under your wing while at Te Tai Awa o te Ora, and giving me the opportunities to grow. You were such an amazing advocate for our vulnerable Whanau and tamariki, and always had Maori interests at the forefront of your Mahi. You will be sadly missed, however no longer enduring the pain you would have been under. My aroha and manaaki to you Christine. Arohanui Kura

I have lovely memories working for Christine at `Just Desserts´ cafe (Airedale street, Auckland) more than 40 years ago . She was also a kind friend to my mother for many years

Christine, thank you ! For your passion, your commitment, your unwavering aroha and your unwavering support to the most vulnerable but also your commitment to Maori .. despite life´s challenges and obstacles that presented themselves to you, you remained optimistic a true heart of gold .. I will never forget the opportunities you gave me, the potential you saw in me and that it was you who brought me my first car.
You fought the good fight until the very end - now it´s your time to rest, so rest peacefully
