Christine Cook Obituary

CHRISTINE COURCHENE COOK, 48, formerly of Jaffrey died in loving hands at the Upstate Hospice House of Anderson, South Carolina after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on October 16, 1959, the daughter of Norman and Rita (Lessard) Courchene. She was a 1978 graduate of Conant High School in Jaffrey. While in school, she enjoyed playing Field Hockey and Softball and she was also a cheerleader.

Christine enjoyed flower gardening, cooking and boating.

In addition to her parents of Jaffrey, Christine is also survived by her husband, Jonathan Cook of Pickens, SC; 2 daughters, Bethany Somero White and her husband Jason of Lakeworth, FL, and Samantha Somero of Pickens, SC; one granddaughter, Naomi White of Lakeworth, FL; a step-daughter Emily Wolfe of Pickens, SC; a sister Cathrine Gauthier and a brother, Peter Courchene, both of Jaffrey; several Aunts and Uncles, Nieces, a Nephew, and many Cousins and close Friends.

At Christine’s request, there will be no calling hours and services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Christine’s name to the American Cancer Society Northern New England Region 2 Commerce Drive, Suite 110, Bedford, NH 03110 or to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
