BATCHELDER, Christine. Passed away peacefully on Monday 20th February surrounded by family following a sudden medical event, aged 75. Christine was loved dearly by her children and their partners; Andrea, Richard, Keith, Paul, Steve, Trudi, Clare and Sophie and her grandchildren Luke, Ella, Isabel, Hayden and Grace. A celebration of Christine's life will be held at the Hope Church corner Kiripaka Road and Otuhiwai Crescent, Tikipunga, Whangarei on Tuesday 28th February at 2:30pm. I was very sorry to learn of Christine's recent and sudden passing. I had known Christine through our shared involvement in the life of St Andrews Church (Hope Central), in particular as part of a weekly study group, and enjoyed many years of friendship with her, having our dairy farming backgrounds and English heritage in common alongside our faith. Unfortunately, I had not been able to see her so much in recent years but I would read of her news and receive beautiful homemade Christmas cards from her each year.

I remember Christine as a lady of determination and strong faith, who enjoyed fun and laughter, food and particularly lunches at cafes, cats, handcrafts and gardening.

May you all know comfort, love, peace and strength at this time of sadness
