Dear Jeanette and family.
Although now more than a year has passed, I've only just heard about Aunty Cis's passing, and was so sorry to hear the news. Wish someone had been able to contact us, as Colene, Wayne and I would have certainly been at her funeral. She was the last link with our whakapapa, and I still had so much to learn from her. Maybe she has passed on a lot of this to you, and hopefully we can share this one day soon.
Although the last time I saw her was at Mum's funeral, I did go and visit whenever I was in Putaruru. Our heartfelt condolences to you all. Kind Regards, Gail & Bruce Stables. Opotiki.

My name is Lyn and I am a kindergarten teacher at Glenshea Kindergarten. I first met Mrs Webb 13 years ago, when I used to be the first teacher to arrive at kindergarten each morning. One morning Mrs Webb called me over to the fence and introduced herself to me as Chris.' From that day we seemed to strike up a friendship with similar interests, and many a time we would have a korero over the fence before anyone else arrived at kindergarten. We became very good friends.
Occasionally I would bump into, (not literally) to Mrs Webb at Countdown and I was very impressed how she walked everywhere. Even when it was raining, I often offered her a lift but no, she was adamant she wanted to walk. Maybe this is an inspiration to all of us!
One day I was struggling to pull and dig out the Onehunga weed prickle from the kindergarten lawn when Chris called me, Lyn, I have a tool you may like to use. I borrowed this prickle tool and was very grateful for this. It certainly made the back breaking job a lot easier.
My grandmother was an avid gardener just like Mrs Webb and I occasionally asked Mrs Webb for advice for my personal garden to learn what to plant or where to plant certain plants. Mrs Webb kindly gave me many bulbs, flowers and plants from her garden. Freshia bulbs were many, which was one of my grandmother's special flowers.
Only a few weeks before Mrs Webb suffered her stroke she gave me some bulbs for my garden and I shall certainly treasure these and nurture them as a memory.
Whenever I saw Mrs Webb she was always smiling, willing to share her knowledge and joined in with our kindergarten/neighbour morning tea invites.
I visited Mrs Webb several times during her recovery where we had some laughs, and were able to catch up with each other and feel connected!
I know there will never be enough words to express what an exceptionally generous, very caring, sharing and kind-hearted person Mrs Webb was, towards everyone she knew, family and friends alike.
Mrs Webb you will be forever in our hearts, in my thoughts and never forgotten. May your incredible life be a reminder to us all that one person CAN make a difference!

My most sincere condolences to Mrs Webb's family. I used to chat to Mrs Webb over the kindergarten fence for the last 12 years and became a very dear friend. I have missed these since Mrs Webb suffered her stroke. My thoughts are with you all at this very sad time. Kia kaha! Stay strong! Lyn Barraclough (Teacher), Glenshea Kindergarten, Putaruru.
