Chisne GUNN Obituary

GUNN, Chisne Noel (nee Robinson). On Monday 16th March 2015, peacefully, at Auckland City Hospital, aged 93. Beloved wife and sweetheart for 54 years of the late Max, dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Alex and Marco, and Liz, and cherished Nani of Margie and Daniel. Grateful thanks to the staff of Elizabeth Knox Home and Hospital for all their kind and attentive care over the last 20 months. A family service for Chisne has been held.

Hello Alex and Liz,
We have recently heard of your Mum's passing and haven't been able to find your address.
Your mother was someone very special to me (Anthony), having been brought up in Tauranga, knowing Vera and Ken well, and having been witness, at dinner one night in Auckland, to Chisne secretly telling us of her impending engagement to your father. They were both very charming but made no bones about conveying their highly principled stance on certain moral matters of the day.
They were both wonderful examples to us all.

Alex and Liz - I was so sorry to hear of Chisne's death and have a card all ready but cannot find an address for either of you. This feels like such an impersonal way to express my sympathy but it is no less genuine for being electronic. Regards Claire-Louise Massey

Hello Liz and Alex,

Was sorry to see that your mum had passed on, but I guess at 93 it is not un expected. Just hope everyone is ok, as another chapter has closed. Re-call memories of my student and post student times, Gunn Gunn and Prince, trips to the city via Dio in the mini car. So Chisne au revoire from Jim and Rosemary Black
