PURTELL, Charlie Thomas. 17.05.1927 ~ 30.10.2023 My amazing Dad left us peacefully on Monday morning. Much loved husband of Dawn (Deceased). Adored father and father-in-law of Mary-Anne and Peter, and Simon (Deceased) and Jennie. Loved Poppa of Simon, Guy, and Jayde. Great Poppa of Abby and Jake. Uncle and Great Uncle to all the Bunting, Moors and Flanagan Families. Best friend forever of Nan. Will be greatly missed by Khan. In keeping with Charlie's wishes a private service has been held. "Rest in Peace" All communication to the Purtell Family C/- PO Box 70, Ruakaka 0151

Mary-Anne, just happened to see this & so pleased I did so that I knew. I am so sorry to read of your dad´s passing. I was just thinking of him a week or so ago. I have many memories of your dad & your mum. Your dad pulling out a big pot & saying he was going to cook us in it in those days it was ok Riding in the back of the Airest truck. Running dessert over that mum had brought home from work, pavlova. Trips to Cornwallis, the veggie garden at the back of your house...sending much aroha & strength to you at this very sad time.
