To My Very Special Pop,

I just can't believe that you've gone - I miss you so much already, although all this time thinking about you brings back soooo many amazing memories. I don't think I remember a time coming to visit you and Nana at Trinidad St that you weren't either just back from fishing with Vern or in your garage being a "MacGyver" fixing or building something (like the awesome trailer you built for Gary in 1995 - which is still going strong!) or in your garden growing your beefy tomatoes, massive beans, silverbeet etc. :-)
I loved it when I was younger and I would come and stay the night so that I could come to work with you early the next morning in your big red "Neil Homes" van and be your helper for the day!! I remember one of those days when we were over the Shore & you brought us KFC for lunch and then drove us to a nearby beach car park where we sat and ate our delicious chicken, although this particular time we couldn't stop laughing as when we bit into our chicken we squirted each other with the excessive oil that shout out from within - YUK but LOL (Laughing out Loud) Pop!!! :-D
It has been an honour being your eldest Granddaughter Pop and I feel very lucky that you and Nana stayed around long enough to watch and celebrate some of my special milestones e.g. my 21st, getting married, having my 3 beautiful daughters etc.
Thank you Nana & Pop for all the good times and laughs we had, for all the fresh flounder and veges we ate, for Nana's dinner special of Savoury Mince & Mash and Doris Plums with Custard for dessert :-D for all the holiday sleepovers and trips to the big city Farmers for morning tea and a play on the top floor with Hector, for all the rides in your VW's, Hillman Hunters & Big Red Vans and for all the noise we made playing the organ - these are but a few of MY special memories of both you and Nan. I can't believe we have lost you both in just a few short 16 months apart!! :-(
You are together again Pop, give Nan a big hug from us all & say "Hi" to Dad for me please, in fact you could go fishing together!! :-D
Till we meet again my amazing Grandparents R.I.P!!

To My Pop,
Thank you for everything you've done to instill the values of working hard & fishing to relax & that super strong hand shake. I have passed this down to my 3 kids & its working well.
