Charles HOEYMANS Obituary

A reflective time. A chapter of four brothers who came to a new country, they created a new life for themselves and their parents. Each of them with different character's and traits, the one thing I will always remember of those four brothers, there love of work. Memories of all the families coming together when we were all so small, listening to them banter in a language where we only knew the swear words, Opa smoking stinking cigars and Dutch beer drinking songs blaring away. Our mothers running around making a family feast,whilst Oma ran around with her black purse slipping each of her grandchildren 50 cents. We all remember those days. Uncle Lou, the darling of the family, a gently spoken man, with always a kind word, fond memories, Don Bucks hill house, V W cars, Holden Station Wagon, and a great smile, some of my memories of Uncle Lou.
