Charles Dailey Obituary
December 11, 1945 - August 29, 2025 Charles Dailey passed on August 29, 2025 surrounded by family and friends in Los Angeles, CA. He was an educator, artist, poet, mentor, and a devoted husband to Rossana.
Born to Almeta and Ernest Dailey in Brooklyn, NY, Charles attended Malverne High School. He cultivated friendships that endured a lifetime. Drafted into the Vietnam war, he was a decorated combat medic for the Big Red 1 infantry. He thrived at NYU and School of Visual Arts. He was a successful artist and taught at Ribet Academy, doubling as a father-figure. A 2025 art exhibition showed a compendium of his life's work.
His "Dailey-isms" combined humor and wisdom. "Take care of each other," he said in his final days. The world is a better place because of Mr. Dailey.
He is survived by his wife Rossana, brother Ernest, Jr., daughter Dailey Little, and grandson Ramsey.
