Sister Celine, you touched so many lives over your lifetime. You were an inspirational teacher who recognised potential in every child and supported their learning needs with gentleness and sensitivity. Your time at St Joseph´s, Fairfield was truly valued by pupils and their whanau. Go now in peace knowing your work on earth has been done.

A much respected and esteemed cousin of my mother, the late Joan Brennan nee Salisbury. I can recall as a child visiting Cecily's parents home in Thames and catch ups over the years with Cecily's sister Margaret. The last of a generation.

My darling Golden Girl, Celly. Thank you for our 50 years of togetherness. From teacher/pupil to friends and then we became family to each other. Your unconditional love and total trust placed in me will never be forgotten. You were my mentor, confidant, my ray of sunshine, my little cup cake and so much more. It was a privilege to be with you as part of your care team and to be with you as you graduated to Heaven. Your heart will continue to beat in mine. I love you now and always, your Kay. St Joseph's at Fairfield, often thought of you & wondered where you were ? you were so very kind to me as a little girl & Sister Bernardus.Thankyou so much for all your kindness & understanding of an 11 year old.

Sister Celine, you were my constant here in Opotiki for 15 years , I will never forget the times I spent with you going places to attend others funerals/shouting me out to restaurants/watching sports with you & old movies. Enjoying meals /baking. You I felt was like a mother to me ,even when my mother passed you supported me so much. Those memories of you will always remain with me, I will miss you so so much Sister Celine. Big Celebration in the heavens where you can enjoy your birthday 17th October with your maker. Love you forever !!!

DEANE, Sister Celine. The last branch of the big Totara Valley tree has fallen, just short of her 93rd birthday. Will be sadly missed but will live in our memories. Dennis, Marlene, Gaylene, Tony and the late Alanda.
