Cecilia Moncrieff Obituary

MONCRIEFF, Cecilia (formerly Fitzwilliam). In her 94th year on March 17, 2011 peacefully at Mercy Parklands Hospital. Much loved wife of the late Lawrence Fitzwilliam and Bob Moncrieff. Much loved mother of Annette, Paul, Vincent and Elizabeth, grandmother of 15 and great-grandmother of 21. Forever in our hearts, may she rest in peace. Requiem Mass will be celebrated at Mercy Parklands Chapel, 12 Umere Crescent, Ellerslie on Monday March 21 at 10.30am followed by burial at Waikumete Cemetery. Our great thanks for the love, caring and compassion from the staff, nurses and caregivers at Mercy Parklands Hospital.

Will be sadly missed by Margaret and her nephews and niece; John, Dennis, Gregory, Patricia, Peter and Kevin and Respective families. May she Rest in Peace.

MONCRIEFF, Cecilia (formerly Fitzwilliam). Passed away peacefully on March 17, 2011 at Mercy Parklands Nursing Home after bravely and stubbornly battling dementia for 7 years. Despite her condition, she often surprised the staff and her family with the occasional quip or witty remark that revealed an intelligence she had shown throughout her life. Cecilia was a beloved mother to Elizabeth, grandmother to Tristan, and Emma, and great-grandmother to Sophie, Charlotte and Liam.
