Thanks Ces for the part you played in coaching our Teachers Seniors Rugby Club in a time of need.
Miss those cryptic comments and the motivational talks you would give to lift the Team. A shrewd rugby man through and through

Cecil was a student at Richmond Road School with me. Always a jovial person he was popular with other students. His leadership roles were recognised by Mr Inglis, the headmaster, when Cecil was named the Head Boy Prefect. Unfortunately subsequently I only ran into Cecil once or twice but he had not changed from the pupil I remember.

To Christine, and Family
Ces was a very special man, and appealed to me when I first brought my son to play for Ponsonby from MAGS.

Rugby would be very boring if you didnt have characters like Ces; passionate, knowledgeable, opinionated, funny & loyal. I was lucky enough to have Ces as a coach/ manager back in the day & always enjoyed his generous hospitality (ie. publican c/o Aurora Tavern, owner/ operator c/o motel, coxies bar) & his banter on the sideline; his assessment of players & analysis of play was always on point. Thankyou Ces for being Ces! Condolences to his wife & aiga; manuia lava lou malaga! Russell Su'a
