Max, you were a tremendously positive influence on myself and many other teenage boys, helping us transition to adulthood with good life skills and values.
The Otahuhu Young Adventurers Boys Club, your creation, developed my confidence to tackle many of my own adventures.
Thank you.
You will be remembered by many.

Max (Tane) you were always such a a strength in all you did both as a leader with the Otahuhu Young Adventures Boys club and a coach for the Otahuhu Rugby club´s under 14,15 and 16´s You always earned the respect of all who you coached through your life and I was always proud to assist you both with the Young Adventurers hiking and camping and with the undefeated under 16´s.
We had some great adventures together.
I would like to offer my condolences to all the Rodgers family and hope you all celebrate Max´s life and have a wonderful day.
I am sorry that I cannot be with you.

Fondest memories,
Gavin Paul.

"Tane", as founding leader of the Young Adventurers, you were a larger than life massive part of my teenage years. I have wonderful memories of you, the Rogers family, Hunua camps and camp fires. You remain one of my heroes. I am so sorry that we have lost touch over the years. My deepest sympathy to the Rogers family.
