SHELTON, Catherine Anne (Formally Sister Aloysius). Peacefully at Whanganui Hospital on Sunday 23 January 2022, in her 59th year of profession. Loved Sister of the Sisters of St Joseph of the Sacred Heart. Loved Daughter of the late Teresa and Bill Shelton. Loved Sister and Sister in Law of Patrick (deceased), Margaret and the late Greg Barrett, Denis and the late Margaret, Anthony and Donna, Paul and Sharon, Bernadette and the late Chris Dodunski and Tony Lowe, Andrew and Jocelyn, Colleen and Darryn, and Terri-Ann. Much loved by all her nieces, nephews, cousins and the wider family. A Vigil Service will be held at Mount St Joseph, 14 Hillside Terrace, Whanganui, TODAY, Tuesday 25 January 2022 at 4.00pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St Marys Catholic Church, Guyton Street, Whanganui on Wednesday 26 January 2022 at 11.00am to be followed by interment in the Aramoho Lawn Cemetery. So sorry to hear of Sr Catherine Anns passing.. I was at SHC in the late 60s. She was amazing

Through my valued friend Gabriel I was blessed to be introduced to Catherine, very briefly over one weekend, as an angry, desperate psychotherapy client. Her directness, insight, compassion and honesty enabled me to make life-changing choices. Now I am reminded of how much gratitude I owe to this good, kind, skilful woman.
