Catherine MURRAY Obituary

MURRAY, Catherine Isabella (Cath). Passed away peacefully at Cantabria Rest Home on 6th July 2016 surrounded by family, aged 86. Dearly loved wife of Bill (deceased) for 66 years. Much loved mum of Kathleen and Ross, Janice (deceased), Gail and Brett, Shirley, Robyn and Chris. Adored Nana of 10 Grandchildren and 27 Great Grandchildren. Heartfelt thanks to the staff at Cantabria Home and Hospital for their loving care and support. "Will be sadly missed, forever in our hearts" A funeral service to celebrate Cath's life will be held at Osborne's Funeral Directors Chapel, 197 Old Taupo Road, Rotorua on Tuesday 12th July at 1pm. I was just a little girl in Mt Maunganui when I first met Cath and Bill Murray who had just arrived from Aberdeen. My dad was Bill's uncle. They settled in Rotorua and were a lovely family to visit. Cath was a great cook and welcomed all visitors. She will be sadly missed, especially by the Morrisons in Auckland.
