Catherine HOLLISTER-JONES Obituary

HOLLISTER-JONES, Catherine Adelaide (Reverend, QSM) On February 23 2014, peacefully at Cedar Manor Tauranga, aged 94 years. Loved sister and sister in law of Truby and Glenys (deceased), auntie of Greg and Sheena, Marshall and Beverly and great aunt of Katie, Annie and Lydia. "2 Tim4v7: I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith". A service for Catherine will be held at St Peters Presbyterian Church, cnr Spring St and Cameron Road, Tauranga, on Friday February 28, at 1pm followed by private cremation. Over many years Catherine has been interested in the work of the Leprosy Mission and faithfully supported it financially and through her prayers. Her support has allowed those suffering with leprosy to see beyond their limitations and to live as equals in their communities.

Dearest Miss Jones, you were my Mother Teresa. You founded Henderson Jubilee School in such a small country town and wrote the destinies of thousands of students like me. I owe all my success to you. I couldn't fulfill my dream to visit you to express my admiration and adoration for you but I have always thanked you for providing us the best education. I can never forget the lovely stories you told us, your efforts and prayers for your school. You will always remain in my heart!
