Carolyn CULMER-HENWOOD Obituary

CULMER-HENWOOD, Carolyn Elizabeth (Nee Culmer) (Formerly Lindesay) (Cherry). Passed away peacefully in Cambridge on 26 June 2025, age 86. Adored wife of David. Proud Mum and Mum-in-law of John, Mary-Anne and Barry, Andy and Susan, Chris and Tania, Elizabeth and Dan. Doting Mormor to Tim, Jay, Billy, Jonna, Tom, Ben, and Millie. Cherished sister (and sister-in-law) of John (deceased) and Pat (deceased), Rick and Judy, Sally (deceased) and Rex (deceased), and Sarah. Beloved by all her extended family and friends. Known as a lover of animals, crisps, floral hats, cryptic crosswords, roses, and a good glass of wine, the world is dimmer without her irreverent wit, penchant for mischief, and belief that life is too short not to be interesting. A celebration of Carolyn's life will be held at the All Souls Anglican Parish of Clevedon, 49 North Road, Clevedon on Monday 7 July at 11am. Please wear a brightly coloured accessory and join Carolyn's family after the service for a cup of (strong) tea and the sharing of outlandish stories.

As a very young child Auntie Tot taught me the game of "lead the horse". This turned out to be her having me bite on a stalk of seedy grass and her pulling it sideways resulting in a moth full of seeds! Never forgot that one and used it a bit myself.
