Carol ALEXANDER Obituary

ALEXANDER, Carol (Cara) Born 05-07-1930. Passed away on 15-07-2014. Dear Cara, I cherish memories from years ago, from Gonzo, to Snowy, to teaching me piano. I remember Scenic Drive, I remember Torbay, you were always in the kitchen baking away. On the day I was born you brought me my first dress and when I was seven you made me a room fit for a princess. I loved the times we spent together; we could spend hours looking through "Trash and Treasure". We would walk on the beach or do the paper-run, just being in your company was always fun. Do you know I have so many traits that come from you? I fuss, I tidy, I titivate too. You gave me creative, you gave me style; when I think of our similarities it makes me smile. Of late I have been very far away, but when I've wanted to feel close to you I put your piano recordings on play. I will miss you most at the important moments in my life, like being a mother and becoming a wife. But Cara, know that I will always cherish the times we had together and close to my heart you will stay forever. Love your granddaughter Joanna

Cherished Memories;

I remember baking with you in the kitchen,
I remember taking the BEST bouquets of flowers to teachers at school from your garden,
I remember stopping in to/from school each day to take a piece of home baking,
I remember piano music coming from your home.

Do you remember;

Me painting the neighbours dog?
Me constantly flushing the portable toilet at Coppers beach?

I appreciate;

That you welcomed me into your life,
That you supported me through private education,
That you were proud of me as a grandson.

Although health and distance may have robbed us of years together, I'm glad that you were apart of my life and I'll always remember you for the classy bubbly grandmother you were.

Love James

But Cara, know that I will always cherish the times we had together,
And close to my heart you will stay forever.

Love from your granddaughter, Joanna
