Carl LARSEN Obituary

LARSEN, Carl Andrew Robert. On 24 September 2015 at home. Dearly loved husband of Joyce for 57 years. Much loved father of Christine Willson, Janice Eshuis (Australia), Vanessa Cammell, Susan Larsen and Robyn Good; father-in-law of Paul, Rowan and Chris; Grandpa/ Papa of Charlotte, Daniel, Ruth, David, Peter, Emily, Kirstin, Jessica and Richard; and Great-Grandpa of Kayla and Mason. 'For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.' A Burial will be held at the Howick Cemetery, Paparoa Road, on Wednesday 30 September at 1pm. A Thanksgiving Service will follow at the Reformed Presbyterian Church of Bucklands Beach, 228 Bucklands Beach Road at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bethesda Disability Training and Support Centre, Solomon Islands, and may be left at the church. Communications to: Ph 534 7300

I am thinking of you all at this time knowing how it is when a beloved parent or parents die.Memories last though as I found out. Hold them dear to you for they will sustain you through the times of grief and sadness that come. Just a few thoughts from an old neighbour and friend. My condolences to you all.

As a lay preacher, Carl Larsen was one of the sincerest preachers I have ever heard. You knew he knew the living God of the Bible, the God of whom he spoke. May the family's sadness turn to joy so they may rejoice with the angels in heaven
