Captain ROWLAND Obituary

ROWLAND, Captain David George. It is with deep sadness that the family of (Captain) David Rowland of Mission Bay, Auckland mourn his passing on 13 September 2023 in Waikanae. A loving father of Karen, Chris, Nadine, Phil and Bob, husband of Jenny, grandfather to Sophie, Finn and Elise; Chris, Whitney and Eve; Ivy, Margot and Lucy; and a deeply loyal friend to many. An accomplished man of the skies serving Air New Zealand for 35 years, logging 11,467 of flying hours in command, who guided and mentored those around him. We miss you Dad - Godspeed. David's funeral will be held at Kapiti Crematorium on Saturday, 23 September 2023 at 2:30pm for family and close friends. For friends and colleagues in Auckland that are unable to travel, there will be a memorial function held in Auckland in the very near future; date to be advised.
