Deepest condolences to the McMahon Family.
While Campbell was older than me, I grew up in Wtgn knowing that the McMahon family were cricket royalty in Wtgn. I remember Campbell was Captain of the Wtgn Secondary Schools Team at the North Island Tournament played at Nelson Park in Napier 1979-80 and Scott was also in that side and Trevor was the manager (photo attached). Campbell was a fine leader from a young age and I know how highly respected he was by all in the cricket fraternities of Wtgn & Auckland. Knowing a few senior cricketers who played under his captaincy at Cornwall Cricket Club, I clearly remember more than one of them telling me that Campbell was the best captain they ever played under. RIP Campbell - A Fine Captains Innings that ended far too soon. Regards Tim Boyer

To the McMahon family.
So very very sad to hear of Campbell's passing. I still have a giggle and a laugh remembering all our happy times playing cricket and the social occasions we shared along with our travel industry colleagues all those years ago. He was one of the best.
Take care of yourselves. Jennie

Dear Karen, Carter and Lucy, the McMahon and Payne families, on behalf of all World Travellers managers and staff, we would like to express our deepest sympathy for your loss. Campbell was a much loved member of our team, needless to say we have all been shocked and saddened. Over the period that he served as a director on the WT board, many of us had the privilage of working with and getting to know this fabulous man. Campbell was a man of few words, but we he did speak we listened. He was thoughful, kind,a true gentleman, and always looked out for others. RIP Campbell, we will miss you.

Cammie you certainly were one of a kind.Jill and I have many happy and outrageous memories from our days flatting with you and Stir. I still have nightmares about the day my car ran out of the garage and crashed into Gordon Dryden's house. Loved that you used to send your cricket whites home to get Dulcie to bring them to back to pristine condition. Thoughts are with your gorgeous wife, children, and the McMahon family and the Cornwall Cricket whanau.

It saddened me greatly seeing Campbell had passed. The first of the Hataitai primary school boys. Even though its been 44 years, I remember Campbell well. The boy could hit a cricket ball harder and further than anyone in school. He never got into trouble, was a straight A student, and was a gifted sportsboy. I'd like to pass on my condolences to the family who will be doing it tough, and simply say, He was taken way to early". I have an old primary school pic Ive searched high and low I'd like to share. Campbell is 7th from the right.
