WASHINGTON, Caleb James. It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Caleb James Washington, who died unexpectedly on 22nd of May 2025 at the age of 49, due to complications from an embolism. A cherished member of the Christchurch and Auckland community, Caleb was known for their warmth, generosity, and unwavering spirit. Their unexpected departure has left a profound void in the lives of all who knew and loved them. Born in Tahiti, Caleb lived a life marked by kindness and integrity. Whether through their work in Graphic Design, their passion for Rugby and Cricket, or their dedication to family and friends, he touched many hearts and left lasting impressions. Caleb is survived by Wife, Trinity, daughter Isabella, brother Jacob and family, will be dearly missed by a wide circle of friends, colleagues, and extended family. A service to celebrate Caleb's life will be held at their family home in the Gambier Island , Tahit, followed by a private cremation/interment. All who knew him are warmly invited to attend and share their memories. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to SPCA in Caleb's honour. Gone too soon, but forever in our hearts.
