HOLWELL, David John. Regtl No 438058 Royal NZ Army Corp. WWII Passed away peace- fully on 20 July 2016 at home, in his 95th year, with his 3 daughters by his side. Loved husband of the late Kath. Dearly loved father and father-in- law of the late Murray and Jenny; Sheryl and the late Colin Monaghan; Elaine, Wendy and Patrick Buckley; and the late Avis. Adored Poppa of Kim, the late Julie, and David; Thomas, Tony and Vicki; Nathan, Paul and Matt; and their families including 25 great grandchildren. A special person and a great bowler gone to rest. You will be sadly missed. A service will be held in the Chapel of Morris and Morris Funerals (entrance 17 Western Hills Drive) Whau Valley Whangarei at 1.00pm on Monday 25 July 2016. Funeral then leaving for the Maunu Services Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations made direct to North Haven Hospice P.O. Box 7050, Tikipunga, Whangarei would be appreciated. Wendy and family. Thinking of you. We are in Australia so were not able to attend dave's funeral. He was a great bowler and I enjoyed my tussles with him on the green. Glenys and Bill Sandilands

HOLWELL, David John. Passed away on Wednesday 20 July 2016; in his 95th year after a short illness. Wonderful and caring father of Sheryl and the late Colin Monaghan. Treasured Poppa of Tommy and Debbie, Crystal, Jasmine, Bree and Vienna; Tony and Rachael, Ben, Jacob, Matt and Andrew; Vicki and Mark Meyer, Emma, Daniel, Carla and Jessica. "When someone you Love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a Treasure."
