Dear Erica and family,
Very sad news. Five years ago when I returned from London to visit my mother, I remember a very happy meeting with you and Dr Jew, Mrs Green and Mary Green, and my mother. I also remember your lovely words at my mother's recent funeral - "she would have loved her service" with her grandchildren singing. Family and friends will always support us in these sad times. I agree with Bern -"kua hinga te kauri nui".
(Big hug Erica xx)

Mark Stevenson

Dear Erica and family
My mother, Audrey Stevenson, was just sharing the news of Bryan's passing. She was sharing where your paths had crossed over the years such as delivering me in June 1965, allowing Dad to be present for the birth (a first since I was the last of 7 children), at Mass on Sundays and I believe there was a connection with Mum & Dad's good friends - Nile & Mary McDiarmid - to name just a few. Mum remembers Bryan sharing Gavin's pending arrival (God bless him). She spoke of what a wonderful couple you were - "really nice people". Now in a rest home herself Mum sends all her love and her condolences as indeed does the rest of the Stevenson family. I'm aware that often sayings like 'our thoughts are with you' rarely effectively communicate the real feelings that people have and I will say this - that at the age of 48, 46.5 years after we moved away from Rotorua the fact that the impact the both of you had is still remembered fondly and as only one of the thousands of lives you have touched I send to you the recognition of the great legacy that you have created and our love.
God bless
Mark Stevenson
