Bruce WEBB Obituary

WEBB, Bruce Edward. 15 September 1956 - 18 December 2025 Bruce passed away suddenly on Thursday 18 December, aged 69 years and was taken far too soon. A true legend in every sense of the word, Bruce was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. With his kindness, humility, friendship and sense of humour, Bruce had a way of making people feel welcome, seen, and cared for. His energy and presence lit up every room and his impact will be felt for years to come. Loved husband, best friend and soul mate of Debbie. Treasured son of Bet Webb and the late Edward Webb. Devoted father of Nick, Lucy, Cam, Andre, Brielle and Chase. Adored grandfather and Riggy of Harlie, River, Bodhi, Indy, Jacob, Aston, Sybby, Augie, Wolfie, Rocco and Lennox. Cherished brother of Gordon and Jan, and brother-in-law of Jean. Loved uncle of Angie and Russ, Stephen and Rose, Rochelle and Kristina. Wonderful father-in-law to Kristie, Justin, Charlie, Lara, Ben and Rochelle. Respected friend to so so many in New Zealand and all over the world - namely Australia, United States, United Kingdom, Italy, France, Germany and the Netherlands. We are in absolute shock and devastation by such a tragic loss of the best man we knew. We will forever miss our darling Riggy. We have been so honored to know and love such a beautiful, kind soul. A celebration of Bruce's life will be held at the Royal Akarana Yacht Club, Hyundai Marine Sports Centre, 8-10 Tamaki Drive, Okahu Bay, Auckland on Monday 29 December 2025 at 1pm, followed by refreshments. because of a medical issue i could not attend Bruce's funeral today and intended to say some words at his funeral so will say them now.
i met Bruce around 25 yrs ago around year 2000. Bruce had been working in Residential real estate but wanted a stint in Commercial & Industrial - Bruce knew a guy called Peter Sunberg who was at that time sharing an office with Justin Wyborn with who i had just done a deal - Peter suggested that Bruce have a chat to me. i had just started a south auckland CBRE commercial real estate office with about 15 staff mostly twenty to 30 yr olds - i am the same age as Bruce so he was a great fit into our team - whilst knowledge about property he was also a great guy and a safe pair of hands so a perfect co-agent - some time later i helped start up Savills here in NZ and Bruce followed me across. bruce was always a more of a "part time" commercial agent as he had lots of other interests including about 12 houses he owned & co managed with Deb's plus Bruce did a lot of travel especially to his beloved Italy, did lots of surfing and spent time with his wider family - 6 kids and growing number of Grandkids. such a fit active, positive person to have passed so suddenly without warning was a shock - i have thought about Bruce everyday since his passing as still cannot believe he has gone. whilst he was with CBRE and Savills he was often my right hand man

Piha is a little less bright now. To Debbie and the whole family we are so devastated for you. Bruce was a shining light at Piha. A friendly face over the fence and a regular sense of calm out at a crazy beach. We will miss his neighbourly ways and will think of him always as we pass `webdog´ on our walk home. Love to you all during this toughest of time, and Bruce- keep an eye on Piha from up above for us.

Bruce,
words cannot express the pain and sorrow we feel because of your passing. Our deepest condolences go to Debbie and the whole family, and we wish you all the strength in the days ahead.

We are incredibly grateful that we had the privilege of knowing you, Bruce - such a truly special person. I will always treasure my time in New Zealand, when you and Debbie welcomed me into your home. I am so lucky to call you my New Zealand parents. That bond has continued through our shared trips in Europe and the wonderful times together in Munich.

You will never be forgotten. We believe we will meet again one day - not yet, but when the time comes, we will look forward to seeing you again.

Rest in peace, Bruce.
Alex and your German family

Bruce and Deb are my kiwi family and a proper family away from home. For the ten years I have been in New Zealand, they made me feel loved like a son and supported in any difficult moments. I have so many memories together that it is impossible to list them all. The first week during which they hosted me in their house when I moved in New Zealand in 2014; the incredible days and nights spent in Piha playing rugby on the beach, swimming, eating, drinking, and singing; the lunches and dinners at their home in Mission Bay and Kohi; the Christmas days; the aperitivos during the week; and many many many more.

Bruce was one the most exceptional people I have ever met in my life. His endless energy, his constant happiness, his beautiful smile, his contagious laugh, and his marvelous charm made him the incredible man that we all love. He had the most incredible ability to put together so many different people in one place and create the most amazing atmosphere where everybody had a great time and feel happy - all because of his natural and beautiful charisma and personality.

He has always been the most comforting presence - you knew that if you were a bit down or needed a bit of happiness during a grey day, Bruce was always there to provide you happiness and love with a smile on his face and his beautiful laugh.

He is leaving us with a big void to fill - and we can just fill it with beautiful memories of the times we spent together with the most incredible person.

Ciao Nimal, I will love you forever

n loving memory of my best friend, Bruce Webb
My condolences to Debbie and family.

I met Bruce Webb as an honest friend, a great sportsman, and a businessman I deeply respected.
Every time we caught up, we shared laughter and good memories. He had a special way of making people feel welcome and valued.

Bruce made me feel like a brother in real life, not just a friend. That bond, the laughs, and the respect we shared will stay with me always.

He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

We met Bruce in a camp ground in Pamplona. It was 1980
and our combi van had broken down. A blonde kiwi surfer type with a huge smile, offered to help. And a connection was made which saw us share adventures in Europe and across the ditch over 45 yrs.
Bruce was a great communicator, a connector of people- his gift and role model for us all.
Heartfelt condolences to family at this difficult time.

I first met Bruce in the early 1980s when I interviewed him for a sales position in our real estate business in Tauranga. Within an hour it was as though we had been friends for years. That was the effect that Bruce´s warm engaging manner had on others. Bruce was with us for almost ten years before continuing his very successful real estate career based in Auckland.
Every now and then someone can come into your life and your heart and although life can take you down separate paths they will always be there. That was Bruce. Inspiring, admired and so very much loved by so many.

Dear Debbie and dear Webb family, I'm still shocked for this incredible loss..
My husband Dario who passed away in 2012, considered Bruce like a brother and he became the same for me every time he visited Viadana in Italy. Me and Dario shared beautiful moments with Bruce, Debbie and their wonderful family and I had the honour of being their guest in NZ.
Bruce will remain in the hearts of his friends for ever..
Dear Debbie, I feel close to you in your grief...let your wonderful family and friends hold you up and carry you on through life. With love

Dear Debbie, Viv ,I am just still trying to fathom the loss of Bruce in your lives. Bruce was such a friend in the Opunake days. So much fun and mischief with Mike, Paddy and Graeme M. and others. He has always been a constant in my life since then and particularly over the last 20 years keeping in touch and catching up, eg the World Cup in Paris and lately at Piha. Bruce and you lived and loved your life to the fullest. Aroha. viv Norris

Dear Debbie, dear whole of Bruce´s family, Bruce has been our best friend for 45 years, since he came to play rugby in Viadana ( a small town in Northern Italy). We will treasure our friendship forever, we will treasure your kindness, your happy and positive attitude toward life.
But we will miss you so much as our life will not be the same without you. Thank you Brucello for everything you have donated to us. You will be with us forever. We love you all

Still in shock! Hard to fathom this. Bruce was a good man and I shared quite a few good times with him. We first met in our first year at St Kents. I have many memories of those days. Bruce also helped me with some real estate matters. Very professional and great at his profession. I'm shocked because he lived such a healthy lifestyle. He was fit and enjoyed his time with his family and travels. My sincere condolences to Debbie and his family & loved ones.
