Bruce SMITH Obituary

SMITH, Bruce. Born June 27 1930. Died peacefully in the company of close family and friends on March 8 2018. With Erin Tipping-Clatworthy, loving parent to Cait, Cara and Alex. Adoring poppa to Nadja and Fionn and gratefully supported to the very end by Asiri and family. Respected and loved by all who knew him. We will miss his presence. In lieu of flowers donations to the Salvation Army PO Box 24306, Royal Oak, Auckland 1345 would be appreciated. A service will be held at St Mary's in Holy Trinity, 446 Parnell Road, Parnell on Tuesday 13 March at 11.00am. All communications to Sibuns Funeral Directors and Advisors, 582 Remuera Road, Remuera.

My deepest condolences to the family
I have fond memories from the time I worked with Bruce as agent for Flam textiles from 1975 through 1979. I think about the weekends on the boat, the KFC dinners at home and the fact I could forget that I was miles and miles away from my home in Canada.
Your Father was a fantastic host and the most pleasant person to deal with. I have over the years many times thought of you as one of my most favorite travel destinations. I wish you strength and health in the coming years.

A wonderful man whose life was transformed by God and then spent the rest of his life supporting supporting organisations and people who were themselves committed to bringing the transforming love of Jesus to others. There have been few like him. I will miss him as a friend and prayer colleague over many years. I'm really sorry I can't be at his funeral as I'm overseas at the moment.

SMITH, Eldred Bruce (Bruce). Passed away 8th March 2018. You kept that promise to honour God and produced and gave millions, mostly to the third world and all above board and under the radar. Always generous, and a dear friend. Rest in Peace - we'll catch up down the road a bit. A special thank you to Asiri and the Salgado family for the care in the Home over fourteen years. Graeme
