Bruce RAFFERTY Obituary

RAFFERTY, Bruce Colin. Passed away peacefully aged 76, at Mercy Hospice in Ponsonby on 21 January 2025. Survived by Dianne Bennett (partner) and son Cameron. Bruce, a retired professional golfer, lived his life just the way he wanted until the end - on his terms. Bruce is united again with his parents Colin and Norah and his brother Ken Rafferty. We will never forget you Dad. A service to celebrate Bruce's life will be held at All Saints chapel, Purewa on Friday 24 January at 10am. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the amazing people at Mercy Hospice.

Raff, as little fellas at Akarana with our special clubhouse out the back, just over the your fence
Many a great golfing and you with left hand low when you first started. Billy Snowden and his wife ran the cafeteria. I have a Pic somewhere of you, Graham Laycock, Robert Brill and myself in jackets far too big for us little squirms. Auckland Boys team around 1962..memories are to be treasured. Rest well mate.

RIP Bruce always enjoyed playing golf with you after school and on a Saturday @ Sunday and loved you coming to our house in Dominion Road in the early years Akarana Golf Club was our play ground.We had fun days growing up as golfers.RIP Bruce you were a great mate to play golf with.
