I miss you

Hi Popa. It has been five years. It still hasn't really become any easier knowing that you're gone. I'm a mother now. Ethan and I had our wedding. I know how badly you wanted to officiated it. I wish you had that chance. We always talked about it together. It was in fact something that had popped up in our last conversation together. You have another Great Grandchild on the way. Benjamen and his fiancé are expecting a little boy in January next year. I wish you could be here to see all of us growing up, reaching milestones, and embarking on new chapters in our lives. We all miss you terribly. Life really is a bit more dimmer without you. I didn't realize how much you brightened the room until you were gone and that bright light went out. Life has gone on so quickly since you left us all. So much has changed. I always thought you'd have been around to see me have my first child and get married to Ethan. We named her Anastasia. She's four now. She was born the morning after your first anniversary of your passing. I fell into labour with her on the same day we had found out we lost you. So, that day has now become more special for us and holds a happier memory. I truly do believe you sent to her Ethan and I. She was a true miracle. I wasn't supposed to have children. She's such an intelligent, kind, beautiful and talented little girl. She reminds me of you in so many ways. She loves the outdoors, the piano, (I have been teaching her to play, just like you taught me) and she's very creative. I know you two would have adored one another. I hope you and Chantelle are keeping each other good company. At least on of us Grandkids are up there with you driving you mad. Hopefully you have unlimited Licorice all sorts and gummy jet planes to keep you going.

Hooray, Popa. Until we meet again.

My 1st memory of Bruce was offering his help when I moved into the house across the road from them.
He told me I could go to their house anytime.
Loved his bbq's. Loved his sense of humor & his laugh. a kind man. May he rest in peace.
