Bruce Heather has been a most loyal and considerate Wellington College Old Boy, with his passion for sport, and cricket especially, motivating his goodwill toward young players. Always friendly and always with a pleasant smile, Bruce encouraged everyone he met - especially the leadership and staff of the College. To Grant and all the family my sincere condolences on the passing a true gentleman and a good friend.

Have just found out of Bruce's death.
Condolences to all the family especially you
Margaret.
I always thought that both He and Lance were
the true gentlemen of this world.
Although I never saw a lot of Bruce it was great
to catch up now and then. So pleased that I spent time with him at Allan Wright's send off.
Will miss them both. Felix Wendt died in February
this year, so I think Brian is the only back left.
Hope to run into you at some stage, but I do not travel a lot now. Odd trip to Wellington and Greytown.

Regards,

Kahu Pattison.

My condolences to Bruce Heather's family. I first had contact with Bruce in the late 1970s when living in Europe and researching family roots in England. It was letters in those days and I still have a long letter Bruce wrote to me at that time. More recently Bruce and I exchanged emails about the Rarotonga Heather Family and I subsequently visited The Cook Islands last year and met many of them.
The Heather Family owe Bruce a debt of gratitude for all he has achieved in documenting our history and bringing the wider family together. He will be sadly missed by all.
I regret I am unable to attend today.

So sad to hear of Bruce's sudden passing.
The 'boys' especially have so many treasured memories of Bruce during their college years, and their rugby trip to South America.
Our thoughts are with you all at this time.
