Bruce EYRE Obituary

EYRE, Bruce Richard and Janet Erica (nee Neil). Bruce aged 79 suddenly at Wellington Hospital on 26th January 2024. Janet aged 76 gently and peacefully at Wellington Mary Potter Hospice on 22nd February 2024. They departed this life as they lived it, very closely together surrounded by loving family. Loved Ma and Pa and cherished Grandma and Grandpa to their children and many Grand children and Great Grandchildren. The service for Janet (Jan) to be held at Tipene Funeral Home, Porirua on Wednesday 28th February at 11:00am followed by Private Cremation at Whenua Tapu.

I knew Bruce and Jan when our kids were very young up in Kaikohe where Bruce worked with my husband. Cameron and Jamie came to our place several times. We stopped in on a ampersand trip when we passed through Wellington. Parked for the night and had a great catch up. Salt of the earth couple. Recently had a Post office reunion and I thought about them, found they had both passed. I have wonderful memories from so long ago.
