Sorry to hear of the passing of Bruce - he was an interesting and kind man. My late partner Mike Sadler and I would often visit him at his antique shop in Albany for a cup of tea and chat. My thoughts are with his family at this sad time.

To my darling husband, although we parted, I wish to acknowledge his care and love for me. Bruce was incredibly generous to everyone and to a lot he did not even know. Bruce was extremely knowledgeable, there was nothing he did not know about classical music, literature and sport. His passion was cricket but enjoyed all sport with the same enthusiasm. We enjoyed many occasions at the Taverns Club at Eden Park, and bidding furiously at the various auction houses along with like minded dealers and collectors. He will be greatly missed at Browns Bay market where he would banter with sellers and buyers alike. I will miss his humour, his caring and his positive attitude, Bruce never felt sorry for himself, even with his illness. I will love you always Louise Allpress

To my darling husband, although we parted, I wish to acknowledge his care for me, his generosity to so many people, some completely unknown to him. His incredible knowledge, there was nothing Bruce didn't know about classical music, literature and sport, he adored cricket most and we had many fabulous days at the Taverns Club at Eden Park. Bruce taught me so much over the years, particularly the art of furniture restoration. we had many exciting times at the various auction houses with like minded dealers and collectors. He was an inspiration to many and did not suffer fools. I will always love you Louise Allpress
