Bruce ABRAHAMS Obituary

ABRAHAMS, Bruce Henry On Wednesday 18th June 2014, aged 69 years, dearly loved husband of Barbara, dearly loved father and father-in-law of Dion and Mary, Megan and Angus, Todd and Julia. Loved granddad of Tori, Olive and Madelaine; Hannah, Sophie and George; Harry, Jonty and Thomas. Loved son of Maurice and the late Molly, loved brother and brother-in-law of Amuri and Colin, Kerry and Yvonne and the late Ian. A celebration of Bruce's life will be held at his family home, 163 Waimea Drive, Te Puke at 1pm on Tuesday 24th June.

I'm so incredibly sorry and shocked to hear this news today. I'm an old brass bandsman from Nelson and I have very fond memories of the entire Abrahams family . . . Maurice who taught me (and conducted the band), Ian and Amuri who played in the band along with Bruce who was a fantastic cornetist and a completely terrific person. Oh dear, the memories are flooding back.
