Brigitte LEREW Obituary

LEREW, Brigitte. Born March 14, 1958. Passed away on December 10, 2021. Our Brigitte, raised in Te Akau, citizen of Australia for much of her life, passed peacefully in Newcastle after a long tight battle with the big C. Respected by many for her work in Aussie mines, Marsden Point, prawn boats and propensity to party. Dearly loved by her siblings, Chris, Tim and Toby, her partner Colin and son Jimmy, nieces Rae and Lani, and nephews Morgan, Michael, George, Couper John and her many close friends around Aus and NZ, and adored by her late parents Rae and John. As per Brigitte's request, a private cremation will be held in Newcastle. A celebration of Brigitte's life will be held in January, exact date and venue pending. Another elegant gracious spirited lady, who has now departed this earth, yet who left a beautiful impression on all who's paths she crossed.

Always remember Brigette as a young girl we caught the Bus to Te Akau School every day for many years. Haven´t seen Brigette or the Lerews for many year but remember the family with much fondness. Our parent were great friends. So very sorry to hear of Brigette passing away. I can imagine she would have been an elegant lady just like Rae. Deepest Sympathy. You are in my thoughts.
