Brian YATES Obituary

YATES, Brian Stanley. Has gone to be with our Lord on 12 August 2025, aged 88. Son of the late Edwin and Myrtle Yates and brother of the late Lynton. Dearly loved husband of Marlene, father of Craig and Karen, father-in-law of Melissa and Keith. Grandad of Sasha, Luke and Madison (USA), Mitchell, Dillon and Brock and Great Grandad to Hermione and Jorje (USA). Heartfelt thanks to the staff of Beachhaven and Northhaven Care Homes for the care they gave Brian. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Whangaparaoa Baptist Church on Tuesday 19 August at 1pm and live streamed. Email [email protected] for a link.

Ellen and I send our Condolences to Marlene and the family . Brian and I started school at Wellsford together back in 1943. We went on the same silver hill/ Tehana school bus. There can't be too many of our group left.
