WELLS, Brian Edward Walter. Passed away Northshore Hospital, November 11th 2021, a few days before his 88th Birthday. Loving Husband of Shirley and Caring, father of 3 Sons, Philip, Michael and Gavin and grandparent to Haley and Husband Caru (soon to be new parents) and David, Australia, Brittney and her wonderful little clan Quinn, Amia and Bella and Brittneys sister Alesha Auckland. Brother to Ray, Libby and family, Joan (passed) and her family and of course Mrs Phyllis of Te Aroha. Brian managed the North offices at Dalgetys (Auckland) 8 Branches and sub branches, especially Palmeston North, helping create huge forrestry blocks. Loved the rural life and worked hard for the Branch, had many rural contacts around NZ. After retiring, carried on being an avid rugby fan and a promising career cut short by an injury. Did well with his golfing and sailed a nice yacht. Was one of the 1st delegates to travel re: Kiwi fruit to Germany. Was always ready to impart farming advice as they kept up improvements and always kept an eye on our beautiful land. When he became ill, many folks ( they will know who they are ) helped in so many ways and eased his passing, so many thanks to them. You fought a good fight so sleep peacefully and be serene xxx No funeral to be had in the current restriction, but some family and friends may have a Memorial service once things are more settled. All communications to c/o 27/101 Red Beach Road, Red Beach.
