Brian Stephenson Obituary

STEPHENSON, Brian Leonard. Aged 74 years. On 30 March 2011 at Edmond Hillary Village, Remuera Auckland. Precious only child of the late Edith and Layton Stephenson. Forever loved and respected father of Paul, Mark and Kathryn and father-in-law of David. Admired, respected and dearly loved Grandad of Amber, Ashley, Ted, Penelope, Lily, Mace, and Molly. Goodbye dear father, you have bravely and privately fought a dreadful illness. We are proud of you. A Service to celebrate Brian's life will be held on Monday 4th April at 11.30 am in the Fountain's Memorial Chapel, cnr of Wood and Elliot St, Papakura. All communications to K. Dear Brian. I hope that you are at peace. You were not only my boss, but also a very dear friend, who i was able to confide in for 30 years. We shared in so much. the trips to Bali. Steam train journeys. the many discussions. the support you gave to me, when i was down. Brian, i have finally won the battle with myself. i cannot thank you enough. I hope i can tell you that one day in a better place. God Bless you Brian.

STEPHENSON, Brian Leonard. On 30 March 2011, blue eyed son-in-law of Esther Elizabeth (Beth) and admired and much loved brother-in-law of the late John White. Good friend and confidante of Athol with whom he shared grandfatherly pleasures and duties. And from Lois his childhood and lifelong friend, my roller skating partner, my first love, father of my three children and grandfather of our grandchildren, Brian you will always hold a special place in my heart, where only very special friends dwell. RIP.
