Brian NORTON Obituary

NORTON, Brian Geoffrey. 74. Born 25 April 1941, died on 17 August 2015. Our beloved Father and friend passed away peacefully on Monday after a long illness. He is survived by his daughter Kiri, and sons, Rik and Te Ari, grandchildren, Te Reina, Rhain, Rachel, Olivia-Rose and Joshua and great- grandchildren, Riley and Leila. Son to the late Thomas and Frances Norton of Picton and brother to Ynys, Tommy, John, Colin, Micky, Paddy, Noel, Geoffrey, Jimmy and Ray and the late, Billy, Berys, Jenny and Yvonne. A memorial service will be performed by Pastor Glasgow at the Glen Innes Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 118 Apirana Avenue, Glen Innes on Thursday 20 August 2015 at 11.00 am. There will an interment at Picton Cemetery at a later date. Psalm 73:26 "My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." Dear Kiri, Rik, Te Ari and your families, my loving thoughts are with you all in your sorrow. Your Dad was a kind, humble and gentle man whom I know, loved you all very dearly. I am so pleased I managed to say goodbye to him just two weeks before he passed away. He was ready to go and is now at peace. Lots of love Aunty Myrna.

My heartfelt and sincerest condolences to Kiri, Rik and Te Ari for the passing of your father Brian.He was a man with a big heart and would go out of his way to accommodate people and especially those on the fringes of society. He had a great affinity with people from Fiji and will be missed greatly. Rest in the peace and in the arms of our Lord and Savior ,Jesus Christ ,my friend ! Sam Bogitini

NORTON, Brian Passed away on 17 August 2015. A truly loved uncle and great uncle of Lynette and Kevin, Simone and Liam. We have loved your kindness and support of so many people over the years Brian. We will miss all of the words we have shared. Rest easy now. Love always to "My favourite uncle".
