Dear Joyce, Jeni, Emily and Natallie and the extended Hughes family.

With heartfelt sympathy to you all.
The many fabulous words spoken of Brian at St Mary's on Tuesday told of the special, kind and generous man he was.
How fragile life can be.

I hope you all hold your treasured memories close and talk of them often. They will sustain you and give strength for the new days ahead.
I care deeply for your sorrow.

Jen and family, so sorry to hear of Brian´s passing. I always enjoyed his company and will miss him on our trips to Queenstown. I am sorry I am not be able to make the funeral but will be thinking of you all at the time. My condolences and very best wishes to you and all the family.

Dear Jeni. I´m so sad to hear of Brian´s passing, so sorry for your loss. I will never forget Brian´s kindness, generosity and amazing culinary skills as he cooked so many amazing feasts for those on Alpha. A truly talented and humble man. Much love.
