Brian HARKINS Obituary

HARKINS, Brian James. 1939 - 2025 We are very saddened to announce Brian's passing on 26 June 2025 after a long illness. Brian is dearly loved and will be forever missed by his devoted and loving wife of 42 years, Maxine; his children Julie and Evan and their partners Greg and Karren. Brian played an important role in many lives; he has been a step-Dad to Darren and Brad; a beloved Poppa to Ben, Jackson, Joel and Cassie; step- Poppa to Jarod, Connor and Jake; and Great-Grandad to Max, Rosie, Eden and JJ - they and their families have been privileged to spend time together and celebrate Brian's life. Brian will be greatly missed by his beloved brother, Laurie, Mary, and Maxine's sisters Dawn, Anne, Val and Linda and their extended families. Brian has been supported by so many friends who have been there for him throughout his life and enjoyed his infectious sense of humour, poetry and singing. We sincerely thank the wonderful and loving caregivers and staff at Bert Sutcliffe who, over the past 6 years, have befriended and supported Brian. A private farewell has been held for Brian.
