Brian FITZSIMMONS Obituary

I am friends with Jacobson on facebook and when he was tagged in the funeral this is how I found out about Brian's passing. I met Brian once in 2008 at the family home. I was calling him Brian during conversation and he said to me to call him "Poppa" :) It was a pleasure to have met you Poppa :)

Love to our cousins sad to hear of uncle Brian's death, remember the good times at Mitimiti and the life of the man with people and family in his heart. Love Paul Jacobson

We are so sad to receive the news and devastated that we could not be there by your side. You never failed to be by ours. Impossible to forget what you have done for us, providing the building blocks to our lives with your unconditional love. You gave like no other and your heart was as big as the world if not bigger. You did the work of the lord and you did it in full spirit and love, Nothing but good memories of you, and it will live on forever. We know that you knew before your last breath that we love you deeply. We will miss you so much the pain is unbearable, thank you for loving us as your own, Rest in love and paradise. I would like to express my condolences to the Fitzsimmons family on the loss of your Dad whom you all obviously loved very much.
We lived across the road from your family until I was 10 and in recent years I caught up again with Therese and Tom.
Such a lovely family!
