Well Brett it's now over a year and I still struggle with you not being with us, my world is not the same. We had so much left to share and discuss. Miss you so much brother.

I was very lucky to have shared many happy times with Brett. In the 80´s we lived together, worked together and looked after each other, Brett was the oldest one in our circle and was always the calm, reassuring voice of reason when I/we needed it.
Brett, you made your mark on the world mate, you won't be forgotten. You were a kind, compassionate soul who loved your music & family and I feel lucky to have known you.
On my birthday this year, Brett sent me a message:
`I know it´s something blokes don't talk about much but anyways...... this morning I dreamed I was sitting on the back steps of the house I grew up in, in New Lynn. I was sitting there drinking Whiskey with you. Happy Birthday Bro´
Well mate, I never did get to have that drink with you, but I will see you again. I was so lucky to say good bye to you a few days before you lost your biggest battle, and I know you will be looking down on us all.
You were a kind, loving and gentle soul, with a heart of gold and will never be forgotten.
Rest in Peace my old mate,
Shaun

Dear Brett, you will always be remembered. We will remember our adventures away with you and Linda, exploring Christchurch, Hamner Springs, Queenstown. Our hikes up Rangitoto, through the Waitakere´s and the Tongariro crossing. We will remember you researching different things, tinkering in the garage and your amazing way fixing mechanical problems. Your passion for gardening and compassion for all Gods creatures. We will miss the dinner parties with great food, conversation and laughter. I loved your appreciation of any meals cooked. Your friendship is valued and our loss is great. Rest in peace and love, pain free and a restored body. Till we meet again. Much love Lesley and George
