We are very sad at your passing Brendon. We will never forget your constant smile. It was warm and infectious. You always took the time to make people feel welcome and took genuine interest in the person you were speaking too. You have been taken to soon and you will be missed by many people x we will never forget you taking Maxwell flying on his 5th birthday. It was such a lovely surprise and he loved it. We remember the magic tricks, the hankychief and the book where the pages disappeared. Fly high x

I have known Brendon for 3 1/2 short years but I was privileged to get to meet you.
I valued the time we got to have a good chat both in person and on messenger as I now live overseas. You were easy to get along with, positive, helpful, always saw the best in people, honest and genuine. You also made a difference in my son's life too.
Will miss you brendon

I knew, even as far back as 1995 he was a remarkable man and that one day he would leave an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know him. With a mischievous glint in his eye and a heart full of humility, he showed us the joy in not taking life too seriously. His charm was as boundless as the sky he soared through, and his zest for life was as infectious as the laughter that filled his every story.
I still remember him fondly for the time he pulled a gravity-defying move, on an unforgettable flight, defying both physics and the belief that no-one should be afraid to fly, that life should be anything less than an exhilarating adventure. His spirit was as free as a bird in flight, and his laughter still echoes.
I take comfort in knowing that you are now soaring among the stars, cheeky smile never far from his face, forever a beautiful reminder that life is meant to be lived fully and without fear. Rest in peace Brendon. You, my friend, will be sorely missed.

Captain Bourne,
Back in 1999, when I was just an 11-year-old, it feels like only yesterday that I watched you, with keen eyes and awe, teaching a group of eager young eagle cadets the skill of donning a life jacket in the event of an emergency ditching. Fast forward nine years, fate brought us together to work side by side for a local operator. It was there that your true character shone through; you always had your pilots' backs and knew exactly how to lighten our spirits with your humor. From that time onwards, our bond only grew stronger, evolving into a lifelong friendship.
As a father, your dedication knew no bounds. Your unwavering commitment and the love you poured into everything you did were not only admirable but truly inspiring. You weren't just a friend to me; you were my hero.
Your legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know you.

Brendon you have left us far too early. Over 30 years ago when we worked together at the Tauranga Aero Club instructing and living life to the full. Then only late last year you coming to Fiji for some time out. You sure were a mate who lived life to the full and touched so many people. The love of Aviation you had will be greatly missed and the generation of experience will be a hard void to fill.
Go West my Friend.
