Shirley Waite Obituary

Shirley A. Waite, of Bradfordwoods, died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010. Beloved wife of Richard Waite for 55 years.; loving mother of Richard, of Fort Collins, Colo., Brian, of Freedom, and Cheryl (Greg) Kocuba, of Butler; grandmother of Lane, Staci, Scott, Olivia and Kaitlyn; great-grandmother of Ariana and Aiden; sister of Betty Lawrence and the late Donald Schneider; sister-in-law of Nell Schneider. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Shirley worked for Dravo Corp. after graduating from Coraopolis High School. She also worked for 16 years in the cafeteria for North Allegheny School District. She was a member of Perry Highway Lutheran Church, in Wexford, where she was active with the women of the church, visiting shut-ins and helping to deliver Meals-on-Wheels for North Country. She enjoyed doing cross stitch, making crafts and being with her granddaughters during her retirement. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Perry Highway Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Perry Highway Evangelical Lutheran Church, 11403 Perry Highway, Wexford PA 15090, 724-935-1226, or a charity of the donor's choice.
